Interior cap

I live in southeast Florida, and in an actual log cabin. We didn’t build it the pilot this way. It has an old wood-burning stove that’s taking up a huge corner of the living area that we never use. While it looks really nice we really need to reclaim that space. Is there any way to cap The cathedral ceiling connection and remove all the tube and piping as well as the stove?

Yes, the stove pipe can be removed and a simple end cap put in the support box opening. Something like this should work. It may need the end crimped to fit well.

I would also add a silicone rim around the crimped end of this cap to air seal it.

Thanks. I hate to take it out of a log cabin like this but our family is growing and could use the space.
