I'm brand new to the forum and have lots of questions. My first question is what is the difference between an interior and exterior chimney? I have a 4 flu brick and mortar chimney. One flu is being relined and we're putting in a new stove. So........ what kind of chimney do I have? Thanks.

Bill

Is the chimney structure on an outside wall of the house, so one or more sides of it are exposed to ambient conditions, or is the chimney structure completely internal to the house until it penetrates the roof? Exterior, Interior, simple as that. Rick
