I imagine it could be made much simpler with a simple shed roof where you just remove the walls. Or just 2 walls and it’ll trap some of the generator noise.

There’d be less that could go wrong.

This is FB so I don't know if it will open for everyone. Movie of people shovelling their cabin roof in Tahoe

I think I’d be looking for an easier way to do that!

Just a roof rake around the edges would remove 15 feet of snow from a ladder. It’d take the strain off the lower back. Your lats are much better suited for pulling that snow off.

You may even find it works from standing on the roof and then pushing small amounts off with a shovel. I’ve never tried that though.

Electric snow shovels run off cords or batteries would be looked at too! I just wouldn’t want to shovel what looks like 3 feet of snow off a roof that large if I could help it!

That snow is probably way to heavy to pull off with a roof rake while standing on a ladder. It's possible they could use an avalanche type roof snow removal "plastic sheet" tool, but standing on firm ground is still needed and if they have 4-6 ft of snow on the ground they might not be able to get good footing and even if they did then also big amounts of snow could land on them. It's tricky with so much snow. The battery powered snow throwers would work great but u have to get up there before too much accumulates. If it's too deep like a foot or more then they too don't work very well.
