Jøtul F500 V3. I think this is burning perfectly?

So I’m new to this stove. I think I’ve figured it out. I believe this is the sweet spot from everything I’ve read. All the chambers up top are burning. I just feel like the flames are a little too fast and I’m eating wood to much. The damper is almost fully closed. Maybe 1/4 open. Maybe 1/8th.

Other wise I love this stove so far.

Try closing the air down a little quicker and don't be afraid to close it down all the way if needed. The amount it is finally closed will depend on the strength of the draft. Draft gets stronger as it gets colder outside.

Will do! I was told by my chimney guy that I have a very very strong draft on my chimney.

Have you tried shutting her all the way down? This may temporarily extinguish the flames but it should still burn clean since it has a catalyst.

Currently trying her shut completely down. Seems to be working well. 1000° probe 400° top of stove. We will see.
