Jotul cast iron chip

My guess is the chip has a shallow angle on all sides so furnace cement would pop out pretty quick as it needs something to grab to. I expect it could be filled with brazing but the heat affected zone would be bigger than the actual chip.

Sure no crack from that point? Cast iron is so brittle. What can be used to cosmetically fix it, and stand up to the heat. Maybe some type of heat curing paint.
 
How would you fix a chip in cast iron? I am thinking fill with furnace cement, sand it smooth, then put stove black. Any thoughts?
