Hi All,

I'm new to hearth.com, but not new to wood stoves. Figured the other day that I've been firing woodburners for about 37 years. My first stove was a Vermont Castings Vigilant and my current stove, which I've had for going on 20 years, is a Jotul Firelight 12. I think it's a great stove. Given that it's going on 20, it needs a few fixes. I need to replace the back burn plate, which has a crack that has been slowly growing for a couple of years. I also need to replace the catalyst refractory insulation. I have my stove and chimney cleaned and inspected annually and the wear and tear has finally caught up. I would appreciate recommendations on good parts suppliers. I look forward to your wisdom and insight and to being part of the discussion. Thanks.

Welcome benc. Do you have a good local Jotul dealer? That's always the best place to start. If not you could try the Preston Trading Post in CT or Woodman's Parts Plus in NH.
