I just purchased a small cabin that has a Jotul wood stove in it . The stove is dark green and has a 3 stamped on the side. The previous owner told me he purchased it in 1995 and had it professionally installed. He said it was not used very much at all. I do know it has a catalytic burning device. but that is all I know about it. It looks pretty much like the Jotul f 3 cb that is now on the jotul website. Was just wondering if anyone can give me any information about it. I have never owened a modern woodstove with a secondary burning capability. My specific questions are.
Is it a relatively efficient stove?
Is the catalytic burner new technology or outdated? is it as good as the new not cats
I assume I need to clean the catalytic burner and how?
Does it have the airwash to keep the glass clean or is that new technology
How do I run it . It has a slide on the top for air control.
