Just got 2 cords delivered..wood ID? What is this yellowish wood?

I just got 2 cords delivered and it seems to be a mix of different types of wood. I'm a newbie and know little about wood ID, so I'm wondering if someone can take a look at these pics and let me know what I got. This guy is the best supplier I've found so far..little more money but it's always more seasoned than anyone else.

Most of the wood seems to be greyish in color but many of the pieces (about 1/4 of what I've stacked so far) has an obvious yellow color to it. The first 2 pics are a side by side of the yellow to grey. The last pic is a more closeup of the yellow stuff.



Does this yellow color indicate it's more green, or does it just mean it's just a different species of wood? I've used my moisture meter on each kind (on the grey and on the yellow) and the yellow does indeed show a higher %, but I know one shouldn't rely on the meters alone.

Any thoughts based on these pics?

The yellow wood might be mulberry? I'm not great at identifying and it's tough w/o the bark pics. What were the MM readings?

The yellow wood looks like mulberry, not only the yellow heartwood but the sapwood and the little you can see of bark are all positive indicators. Mulberry is a very good firewood but the bad news is the yellow color probably indicates it has alot of moisture content and/or hasn't been split very long. After a few weeks of sun the yellow turns to a reddish brown. It will need to be season two years.....

Typical reading for the yellowish was mid/high 30s. Greyish was mid 20s. So I wouldn't be surprised that the yellow stuff is more green and higher moisture. Of the 2 cords, not a lot is yellow, but I'm still disappointed it was included in the delivery. Like I said, this guy is usually pretty good with having more seasoned stuff.
