Just got a load of logs delivered...but what are they?

I just got a load of logs delivered. They said it'd be a mix of oak, ash, and sugar maple. But when the delivery man showed up, he told my wife it had a bunch of smooth-bark hickory & asked if that was ok. It doesn't look like hickory to me, and I don't think smooth bark hickory even grows in Minnesota so I am a little skeptical. Definitely there's some oak in there, I can see the leaves. But does anyone know what these smooth-barked logs are? Here are a bunch of pictures:

The smoother barked grey wood looks like beech to me too.

The smooth bark hickory looks like grey beech. I see some oak in there and silver maple. Split it up anyway. Doesn't look like you need it right now by your background pictures though

First pic I see beech, ash and soft maple. You do have some "smooth-barked hickory" in parts of MN - one of my favorite trees, bitternut hickory. http://dendro.cnre.vt.edu/dendrology/syllabus/factsheet.cfm?ID=18

Yeah no doubt or he's got a drafty house! I want to say maple of some kind. Although I have only cut two of them. Most of my experience has been with oak, ash, and boxelder.

I'd say maple as well. Beech has more of an elephant skin type bark and i don't believe it has that dark brown core.

Im changing my answer to shag bark hickory.

those beech trees don't have that brown core and the barks a bit different.

I think the smooth barked wood is Red maple, Acer rubrum.
Hickory is very heavy wood, if this stuff dries and loses weight, its maple.
Beech bark is super thin. 1/8th to 1/16th inch.
Also the color of the split appears as if the tree has some kind of funk, that raw sienna color is off, the tree had some kind of internal wound or infection.

Thanks everyone for the help! Apple sister I think you are right about the wounded tree. I saw the dark center in 3 different logs, but looking closer I think they are all from the same tree and it looks wounded.

I'm not that picky about what I burn and am already 3 years ahead so I'll just split it and someday burn it. The place I bought it from charges different prices for 'primo' than for lesser quality wood so just trying to decide if I should push back on this load.
