bucks co pa
I figured at this price I may as well fill it up now all I need is 3 tons and I am ready gor next winter converted hot water back to elec so burner will be switched off until Dec

HHO or Propane?

just called for propane price in central MN and was qouated $1.52 gal. I paid 1.50 2 years ago and 2.50 last summer.

I haven'T check burning oil. But here, diesel is now 0.86$ a liter, 6 cents cheaper than gas. I haven't seen this in 3 years. I love my duramax, but I don'T think I will get any oil burning device....

update: he came and did fill it then tried to sell me automatic delivery. he said wow your tank was empty, you know he have automatic delivery...

i just said no thanks, this oil should last us at least through next january. :-)

even though it prob will last that long, i hate auto delivery. they come as soon as the price spikes, get mad if you dont use enough, and if theres no price spike they dont seem to "remember" that you might be low on oil. plus it takes away your right to shop around. i paid 1.80/gal. had i tried the first company i called i might have paid 2.30/gal

now i'd really like to get some pellets, i wish the prices would drop so that its at least the equivalent to oil. i like the way they keep the house a steady temp without that low right before the furnace kicks on.

automatic delivery is good for some folks who are prone to not checking their oil tank levels.....these are the folks who call you on Christmas Eve at 11:30pm with no heat...

just paid my first propane bill of the year, thanks to running the OPB for heat I took the remaining oil money from '07 prebuy and had them put it on my propane account, I went all winter without sending a check to eastern gas!
I use propane for hot water, stove and dryer, plan on converting hot water to OPB for this winter so they will still be getting less from me. (of course they just raise the rate then)

just called the local Co-Op and the propane price is at 1.29 for cash in central MN

my wife just told me we paid 3.37/gal. for propane.

Propane is 3.27 here. Boy are some of us getting screwed! I just love this state! Im really thinking of starting to remove my tanks and bring them to be filled. A PITA but would save some $.
