What can you guys tell me about this stove. She needs some cosmetic repair. Ivory enamel is chipped. How does the touch up paint work? Are there different door handles for the front and side? Does over firing cause the enamel to chip from these stoves?

Overfiring causes crazing, little fractures in the enamel. Chipping is more from abuse. The touchup paint is decent, it will still show some. The side door handle is fixed and the front door has a fall away handle. It will look like an allen wrench with a wooden handle. Got any pics of it?

That does appear to be overfired. With the bigger places touched up it would look ok.

That must be an early one. It has the same doors as the #12 Firelight, but without the top load or the cat. Interesting.

The model is Firelight CB. I wish it was the top load. I didnt know the newer models had a cat. What should I check for in the firebox for overfire symptoms?
