King KP60 Burnpot Issue

Here is my dilemma. After 3-4 days of burning I got heavy coarse ash under my burnpot. I have to shut it down and pull out the pot and either move the ash to the front or back or vacuum it out. So my question is has anyone ever added height to the four feet of the burn pot for a little more clearance underneath? See picture.
