Hi , I bought a king pk130 with no pipes, I'm confused about which exh kit to buy, it will go through the wall and have a 48 inch vertical rise.
I am looking at this pipe kit on amazon for $300 and winder about the end cap, it looks like its open with just a pest mesh, other end caps point downwatd but this one point almost straight up, what about rain and snow getting in, can rain exit at the bottom via the cleanout T ?

I'm looking at this kit.

That vent ends with a 45° down angle which is more than enough to keep rain or snow out.

Reading through the ad I would say yes and no. It does not say high temperature only on some of them you need the one that is high temperature. Black one would look good on black pipe but clear one looks better on galvanized or chrome pipe. I only use high temperature silicone tape in the house, outside I do not seal pipe with anything extra. The pipes seal enough for outside and it is quicker to take apart without the silicone tape when I do my biyearly deep cleaning. When applying tape cut off around 2 feet per joint. Stretch tape when applying. Tape does not stick to pipe stretching tape around pipe and onto next layer of tape. At least two layers of wrapping from that 2 foot piece. Tape acts like a rubber band and sticks/stretches to itself. That way if you ever have to take pipe off you just unwrap or cut trough the tape and it just comes off with no sticky residue.

500ºF tape below is what i buy.

I read ad 5 times and still did not see that part where it is good to 500F, Very first line in paragraph I must be really getting old. LOL

  • Self-fusing Silicone Tape that does not melt up to 260°C (500°F) making it ideal for emergency repairs for automotive, plumbing, marine, hose, electrical, indoor and outdoor applications.

Ok thanks for the link, I ordered the tape.
I can't afford the exh pipe kit until next month.

I Paid $250 for this King PK130 from a woman who said it started to smoke after 4 good yrs, she panicked and bought a new stove.
But I can't test it until I get the exh pipe hooked up.
Meanwhile I'll give it a thorough cleaning and vacuum everything.
