It appears that I can get the ceramic material for free that would be required to make a refractory for an Encore 2550.

Does anyone have a guide to making one or the exact dimensions of each piece?

This is what it looks like: https://www.amazon.com/Refractory-A...cphy=9073516&hvtargid=pla-2281435177818&psc=1

You still need these dimensions? I'm rebuilding my Encore 2250 right now and have the refractory assembly out, could take measurements and photos.

Do you still have access to the material? What is it exactly?

Update as an FYI: Amazingly, my wood stove is working fine this year, in fact it's working better than it was when I bought it. My son, who works on industrial furnaces for a living, said that the material the non-oem aftermarket refractory that I bought on Amazon was made from better material than the original Vermont Castings refractory. He said that I can probably get two or three years more out of this wood stove, although he did spend a couple hours repairing the stove as we put in. The new refractory and the aftermarket catalytic combustor. We'll see how long the stove hangs in there, but this repair cost a little over $600. And we are having a very very cold winter in Vermont this year. But so far, I'm not burning a lot of oil.

Thanks to everyone for your comments as I went through this process.
