Looking for suggestions on a large wood stove for our greenhouse. We have a 30x72 greenhouse, and have about 20x30 section portioned off for seedling production. So basically, we need to heat a 20x30 section (roughly 20 or so ft tall at the middle peak of it)...so a large uninsulated space.
We run an Englander 30-NC in our farmhouse, and it does a great job of throwing the heat. Have thought about just getting another to put out in the greenhouse, but wanted to check in on other options. We have a friend who heats his seedling house with an old Fisher Grandpa Bear, and it does fairly well, but worried that we'd go through more wood with it than the Englander or any EPA stove for that matter. Also, figuring 8" pipe installation may be a bit more harder to come by than 6"..
Thoughts? Suggestions? Good ways to get even more heat out of a stove than just running it (such as having a concrete block heat sink around it for prolonging the release of the heat..?)
