I have a friend that just got a used PS 40. Very nice quick flame during startup phase. Flame dies down to almost nothing after startup though. The auger does not appear to be dropping enough fuel. It runs for 3 seconds off 5 seconds. We jumped everything and even pulled the auger for inspection. I'm guessing the control board. At 441 retail they must be made of Gold!!

Any Suggestions?

Should we try oiling or greasing the auger motor? Thanks!

He does not have a thermostat and is planning on using it in manual mode for now.

You will need to jump the stat terminals at the stove then to make it think it is calling for heat.

Jumping the t stat terminals did the trick! Unit is Fixed!!

Thanks Everyone !!

Glad we could help
