It's 55 here today and the furnace has been coming on so I thought I'd fire up the 6039 but on straight pellets and it promptly smoked every thing up. House smells like wood smoke. Stupid me, when I took everything apart last spring and cleaned and lubed all the drives and motors, I somehow forgot to reconnect the combustion fan so Had to do a quick side panel removal and sure enough, both power leads were laying there not connected. They are now. All is good. Have it in HR 2 (which is the lowest you can run it on a remote T'stat. The T'stat will reduce the fuel flow to the low set point (HR1) when it's not calling for heat.

Brought 3 bags in. Should be enough for a week or more at low fire.

No point in mixing in corn yet. I don't need that level of heat output. Re gasketed the door too. It's tight as no smoke came out of the door at all.

Wife is not overjoyed today with me. Told her it smells sort of like a BBQ. She was not impressed in the least.

So now it begins, that long heating season.. I'm excited, not. I picked up 2 supersacks of no germ seed corn the other day. Have 9 ton of corn in the barn now and 3 skids of pellets too.

I see the combustion fan is interconnected with the feed auger. No combustion fan, no feed auger either. Did not know that, do now.

No combustion fan=no vacuum=no auger=no pellets to burn
so your sleeping in the dog house tonight;lol

In the shop, it's heated...lol Don't know how I overlooked plugging the leads back in, but I did. She sure was smoking...lol Amy was smoking as well.

I will say that the high temp silicone gasket I bought for the room air fan, made a huge difference in white noise output. Night and day difference actually. Zero harmonics from the blower. Best 9 bucks I ever spent on the stove.

Gonna be purchasing some new venting after this winter for certain. The old stuff (15 years old now) is pretty much shot. Not sure if I'll stay with my configuration or modify it. All I know is it will all be 4" outside.

Glad you found out now...wives can be unhappy with smoke all over the house...you will solve that problem and try the "love eye look" that might work and get her some candy too with maybe a pretty flower...Best of luck....lol clancey

When I was trying to get mine to run right, before putting in the outside air, the house smoked up a few times and my housemate was about ready to tell me to take it back. I’m like this should be simple, just give me a chance.

Never had an issue getting the 6039 to run right, other than me not hooking up the combustion blower after cleaning everything. I let it 'think for itself 99% of the time, even on corn, I just change the firing parameters (algorithm) to the corn setting.

The wife is another story however...lol Motoring right along on HR2 on remote. House is a bit warm at 72 however and the cats have all assumed the position around the stove.

That will make everyone happy..lol Warm house feels good...clancey
At least the living room and kitchen, the rest, not so much. Remember, a bio mass stove is still a space heater. When it's real cold, I'll run the blower only on the central furnace to help distribute the heat.

Looks like i bag every 24 hours now. I'm sure that will change soon.
