Getting a log length load of pine delivered tomorrow. They estimate 4-5 cords worth. $100 delivered so I figured it was a pretty good deal, especially for here in CT.

Pine isnt my first choice, but it seasons relatively quickly, and think it will be just what i need to bump me forward into my 2-3 year plan. I have about 6 cords of oak and beech split and stacked now but know it wont be ready for next year.

Most of the other people selling pine and other soft woods seem to sell for around $50 a cord in logs, or around 75-100 for split. So when i saw 4-5 cords for $100 delivered i figured i would jump on it. Figuring even if i get shorted a bit from the estimate that it will still be a decent deal.

Its definetely more labor intensive to use pine, but it works well mixed in and in shoulder season situation.

Thats my goal, to use it primarily for the shoulder season to save my good wood for the real cold. and to mix in too if need be.

Great price, great wood for the right circumstances.
Shoulder as all will agree, and perfect for a quick, hot, minimal coal burn between full loads on these gd arctic days/nights.

You had me all excited there for a minute, till I saw it was pine. I figure I'm going to have to get a load of log length delivered next year. It takes too much time to scrounge constantly.

Bad Wolf, i had a "3-4" cord load of hardwood rounds cut 16-18in ish delivered to me last fall for $400. It actually stacked to about 4 and 3/4. Wood was great quality too, oak, ironwood and beech mainly in that load. If your interested i can give you te guy's numbet. Think they are out of east haven if i remember right.

It didnt end up coming yesterday, probably goibg to be Sunday. Will post a pic once its here

Supreme Industries?

The Progress is really frugal with Pine. I even burned Cottonwood with good results.

My guess is that 4-5 cord will last many years if used for shoulder season/mixed loads, so you are going to have some nicely bone dried pine.Just make sure to top cover!

I'd like the number. I want to get something delivered to get myself ahead a few years. Looking for someone with a good reputation. Thanks.

Dang, that is a deal for sure. Just hope its white pine and not some junk like hemlock. And that it is really 4-5 cord. Seems that it wouldn't be worth it to even truck it out to you for $100.
