We have a Lopi Leyden which is running very nicely on the inexpensive wired thermostat that came with the stove.

I would like to use a wired programmable thermostat.

Purchased and tried a Honeywell model RTH6300B which is the same type that I use on the oil furnace.

Programmed the unit for basic operation, connected it to the pellet stove. Stove would not start. Changed the programming and the stove started, but on the shut down cycle, the stove was still feeding pellets.

Put the thermostst that came with the stove back on and it works just fine.

Anyone using a programmable, wired thermostat with a Lopi? If so, what brand and model??

Thanks.
