I feel like I read a thread here that showed some square compressed fuel logs, but now I can't find it. I found BeGreen's review of the two compressed logs he tried, but I know I saw something somewhat recently that had square logs. They looked between the size of a large bar of soap and a brick. Was that a thread here? They seemed an interesting alternative to when I might want a quick and easy fire for purely aesthetic reasons.

That was the BioPellets.

For what it is worth, a forum member spent a lot of time setting up a deal to distribute the things locally and then the guy screwed him when another deal came along.

BP, is your product sold in the northwest? I'd like to give them an objective test before the season is over if possible.

I never had my emails returned when I attempted to contact this company.

contacted me recently....east coast operation, square logs

BTW, I contacted bio before he was on the forum and asked about seeing the operation and perhaps posting the tour online (free promo, etc.) - I never received a return email either. Perhaps they are too busy making logs to deal with PR and promotion, etc.

I've done tests already on the HomeFire Prest-Logs and the Northern Idaho Energy logs. I ran each test twice. I try to keep the fuel weight close to the same. In the logs tests this meant seeing how a load of 20-24 pounds burned. Thomas was generous with the Energy logs, so I got to try them out in an extended test as well.

I also encourage the manufacturer to supply any testing data that they have for the product. Visit the wikis to read up on my earlier tests. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions.
