Looking for Pacific Energy Dealer in Springfield, MA / Hartford, CT Area

Hi All,

I'm looking for a PE dealer in my area, and how you feel about their service if you have any experience with them. The list of dealers on the PE website doesn't seem to be accurate.

Also, do you recommend against having different dealers install the steel chimmney and the stove? ...wondering if I'll get into finger pointing if there's a problem?

Not every PE dealer has a stove on the floor. Call or stop by at the dealer you like the best and ask them.

If possible, have the same shop install the flue that you bought the stove from. It does help to avoid the finger pointing experience and it allows you to withhold credit card payment until satisfied with the entire job and signed off on inspection.

I've called every dealerthat I can find in an internet/phone book search, but no luck. But someone must be a PE dealer in the area!

D&B is no longer in business in Sturbridge, the Stove Place is a fair distance from Springfield (not sure of where you actually are), and I dont know anything abt the Griller's Hall of Flame, but Indian Orchard is a burb of Springfield.

I have been to grillers and actually looked at the PE's there before I settled on my Harmon. The guy is definetly nice there and seems to know his stuff. If I ahd found this site before I bought my stove, I might have bought the Summit there but, I had never heard of PE when I was looking. Oh well!

Please contact Jack Cohen in Hudson, NY. He is the PE distributor for the Northeast and will be able to point you in the right directions.

Also, since you are so close, consider driving to NH to a dealer. No sales tax if you pick it up yourself.

I considered doing that for my new stove. Sales tax here in NY is 9% so the drive to NH is worth $250.

N1ST, I never bought anything from the guy in New Hartford but he is very good about donating to the local community/high school theater group which I am involved with. That says something about him as a person. He deals in Hearthstone as well as PE.

yesh that guy is gone but the store is there under new ownership
that was a russian guy who had BEAUTIFUL BEAUTIFUL russian girls working there
omg they were gorgeous wore high heels everyday their looks alone sold stoves i mean they were dressed to go out not to hang around a wood shop
BUT yeah the old owner got in trouble for child porn stuff or something like that
he was also getting in trouble from vermont castings for selling below what they would allow
to many other shops called v.c. and complained so he was selling off that line and bringing in pe stuff
i was just in there a month ago (to see if the girls were still working lol) the new owner is nice and reasonable
but no more girls
