Good morning and Happy Labor Day!

I'm looking for some suggestions on what the best course of actions would be to install this wood stove in my basement/garage. With the set up the way it is currently, I won't have a ton of vertical rise in the stove pipe. Is this acceptable? Will the stove be inefficient? Should I consider having a mason move the hole for the pipe up a few bricks (definitely not ideal). I've reached out to a few local companies who are very backed up with pre-season chimney services. Hoping to potentially get some answers here or at least give me a an idea of what I'm up against. Thank you!

What model of stove is that, and how tall is your chimney? Height between stove outlet collar and chimney inlet hole? Providing that information will be helpful for members here giving advice.

Chimney height is about 30’.

Stove is Englands Stove Works model 15-SSW02

Height from stove outlet to chimney inlet is about 14 inches.

Thanks!

30’ minus two 90s is 20’ equivalent. In a basement. Is it an 8x8 clay liner?

I’d give it a shot if you mind a Smokey startup. It may need a damper. I might try to arrange the stove so I could use 2 45s. S short at possible 45 degree run. If I had the space. I’d it doesn’t run well then get the chimney sweep to move it up.

Has it been inspected recently ?
It has not. I just purchased the house. I am waiting for a company to come out and inspect. Unfortunately with the season approaching fast, most companies are out a few weeks. Planning to make some more phone calls tomorrow.

You have time to get the job done correctly. Inspection and install. If you’re doing it yourself I’d get the pipe pieces installed before the inspection. I never mind a second set of eyes on my work.
