Hey y'all - greetings from The Piedmont region in North Carolina. First year in a new-to-me house and looking forward to adding my Jotul woodstove to the living area for a cozy winter season. I had a successful experience installing my first chimney liner using the Rockford kit at my previous house and hope to do the same here. The difference was the roof/ chimney situation. While it was also one story, the chimney was much lower and easily accessed without a ladder as well as being on much less of a pitch. The chimney/ roof situation at my new place is much more complicated as you can see:

I've got a tall ladder that I can lay flat on the roof pitch to get me up there, but I'm at a bit of a loss as to how to get up to a good working height at the chimney to leverage the pipe safely into the chimney and then install the cap... I've never looked into renting a boom lift, but maybe this is the kind of job for it? The chimney top is approximately 8 feet above the roof peak. Anyways, hopefully someone on here might be inclined to offer some tips and it would be greatly appreciated. If a boom lift is the answer, I'll certainly shop some quotes from contractors as it might end up being a wash on project cost, but the quote I had for the install at my previous house which I ended up doing myself was about $4,000 and only cost me about $800 to do myself.

Can you shove it up from the bottom that way you only need to be on the roof to connect the cap? Can you get help from a friend to hold the ladder while your up there? Maybe rig something up to strap the ladder to the chimney to hold in place?

Assuming your roof slope is the same on both sides of the peak perhaps scaffolding straddling the peak? Maybe use ratchet straps to secure the scaffolding to the chimney for that extra factor of safety?
