Lopi 520/96, whats the difference?

I picked up a 1993 Lopi 520/96 that was used once, its like new inside.

A while back I traded a Husqvarna WR250 enduro for a new Lopi Liberty. What I notice right off the bat is that the air manifold is angled from the front down to the back of stove and theres two tubes. The furthest section of manifold actually has holes in it, instead of a third tube.

I am presently running an Avalon Olympic and the air control is the same as my Liberty but, the 520/96 has an easier sliding mechanism with a better stopper for full out pull and theres a flapper inside for the secondaries.

Otherwise this looks and measures the same as a Liberty. Is there any other differences. The firebox is the same length & width as the Olympic but, must lose its volume with the slanted manifolds.

Took out all the rocks cause it was in a basement and we carried it out.

Nice find. Most changes are evolutionary in this line. Some were to increase efficiency and others were to reduce cost or to improve serviceability. The original tubes were steel I think, not stainless.
