Would something need to be cleaned??
Or does a part need to be replaced (and how would I figure out which part)?
He says it won't light at all. And he thought it was funny that he didn't smell gas either.

I'm trying to help my Dad out, whose stove stopped working yesterday.
But I know little about this since I stick with the wood forums...

Thanks in advance

gas in tank?
gas cock in on position?
on/off/pilot knob in pilot position and knob depressed?
should have gas flow to pilot, did he take the glass off and hold a lighter to the pilot to see if there is flow?

if the stove just stopped working ,unless hes out of gas he should be able to get the pilot relit.what stove model is it?

Did he recently run low on LP & get his tank filled? It's not supposed to happen, but occasionally I've seen instances where a new fill causes an air "bubble" (for lack of a better word)...Have you tired bleeding the gas line from the tank?
