Moved into a rental that has this gas heater. Tried it out for the first time the other day. Read the manual, followed directions and the pilot lit no problem. turned the stove on, watched the flame tube ignite to about 3/4 of the way around and then flame went out. Have not been able to get the pilot to relight since. There is flame when I try to relight it but it seems much weaker than my first attempt. Any help would be much appreciated!
P.S. Landlord has no interest in having the unit repaired or replaced. I would like to take a crack at getting it running myself. I promise I'll be careful and follow recommendations from the experts here fully!
