Got our Lopi Republic 1750i installed today and could not be happier. ...and so it begins! We had it professionally installed this morning. The whole process took a couple of hours.

The air inlet controls and fine tuning it will take some getting used to. I seem to have it lit OK for now, but for some reason - the blower has shut off? It kicked on about 30 minutes after getting it lit and established... but then turned off after it was on for about 45 min. It has not turned on since. Not sure why the blower would turn off? What am I missing?

This is what our inefficient masonry fireplace looked like earlier this morning:

OK. The blower kicked back on. Does it turn off if the temperature of the insert dips? i.e., we loaded it with a new piece of wood and opened the inlet?

Yes The Blower Will Go Off If The Temp Drops Below 210 I Believe

Looking good, enjoy......

Yep. I think I the temp may have decreased a bit when I loaded it with wood for the first time. It has kicked back on and now has been on ever since. Got a nice, well established bed of red hot coals. *w00t!*

So, when we got up this morning (and prior to the install), this living area per my Lacrosse weather station was at 61.3F degrees.

After lighting the fire approx. 2 hours ago, the living area is now at 69.2F Almost eight full degrees in a fairly short amount of time!
Absolutely insane.

With this being the first fire in it, they warned us of the residual paint fumes that would be burning off... it started stinking up the living area, so did I mention those temperatures are with two large windows open, as well? I like the way this is going. :)

OK. So before heading to sleep last night around 11 p.m., the inside temp was at 74.9F. I don't know what it peaked at during the middle of the night, but when we woke up this morning, the house was still at 72.6F

Nice bed of hot coals were still in the stove. Added a couple of pieces of kindling and tossed on a log and it was good to go.

I struggled for a couple of months with a sketchy thermostat on a new 1750 last winter. Initially it wouldn't come on until the stove-top temp was > 400F, but then would cycle on and off as the stove got warmer. Once I replaced it, everything worked great.

If yours give you trouble, the way they ultimately diagnosed it was to pull it and hold a lighter to it. You could hear it click on and off even though the flame under it didn't change.

That's a great looking installation!
