Hi. We demo'd the old firebox and surround and installed a Superior 36" wood burning fireplace WCT2036WSI. The issue now is the chimney is short by about 2 feet. The documentation for the fireplace has a Superior 2 ft Section Double Wall Pipe Snap Lock and also the same but in Hi-Temp. Are pipe sections all the same type? This house was built in 1989 and I'm not sure what type of double wall pipe is in there now. Is Hi-Temp needed for a regular wood fireplace? Do all manufactures of pipes fit a Superior fireplace?
Any help appreciated. Matt

No you absolutely cannot use that pipe. All chimney pipe has to be the same make and model and that chimney needs to be specified for your specific fireplace
