wanted to let you know that MA DOER has funded a new initiative, the Expanded Heat Loan Program.
Allocated are $3.8 million for the entire initiative.

Among other things, efficient WOOD PELLET BOILERS are now part of the heat Loan program as follows:

  • 0% interest loan up to $25,000 with terms up to 84 months
  • Must be installed in a 1-4 unit residential building as a central heating system
  • Must meet detailed specifications, including a thermal efficiency rating of 80% or greater, and emissions rating <= to 0.15 lb/MMBtu and at least 2 tons of bulk storage
  • Requires prior approval
This is a limited time program and will be in effect until funds are spent.
