I have a hearth mounted 13-nc that's crammed all the way into the fireplace. I have a stainless flex liner, and I'm interested in moving the stove out of the fireplace slightly so that I can mount a blower on the back to utilize a little more of the heat that's going into heating my chimney and not the room. I was thinking about using one of these magnaflex offset boxes, but it doesn't give me enough details to evaluate whether it'll work in my situation. Does anyone have any experience with these? What are the dimensions of the box itself? I only have about 2" clearance between the top of the stove outlet and the bottom of my fireplace opening (lentil?), so I'm not sure if the box would even clear.
update forgot to include a link to the offset i'm talking about: (broken link removed to http://www.northlineexpress.com/itemdesc.asp?ic=5MG-MSS-OSB-6)
I'm looking to replace this black coupler with the stainless offset box...
