Bought stove with low hrs. It was a backup if electric went out.... has any one had any trouble with the draft slider not going back in? It starts to, then hits something pretty solid. Just now tearing into it. Just wondering if any one had any insight

Mine has 3 more bolts than that, and I don't understand how adjusting that let's the damper go in father. I've already had the motor taken completely off. I can't get this to go in any farther

The bottom gets packed with ash and has to be scraped outOr
sometimes, if you pull the slide out far enough to clear the packed ash and gently
Tap the slide in it, which will force out the ash pack and allow the damper plate to move freely
for a while . This is a much-maglected area, mostly because it is a set-and-forget adjustment

That's what it looked like looking back the tube, from where the fan goes. A lot of crud. It barely covers the hole. You can see where it usually resides, on the slide. I've already had it pulled out, pushed back in slammed back in. Jiggled around. It stops at the same spot. And feels like it hitting another piece of metal where it stops. It has rust in the auger. Maybe it's rust some how. Appreciate the insight and taking the time. This forum is how I learned everythingI could about the pellet stove I have upstairs. The countryside is going in the basement. Making super heat in this frigid winter we're having. But I'm still gonna fire it up, and see if I can work it loose

How long does it take for the room fan to start blowing on this stove? My king takes about 5-7 minutes to start blowing. I think I'm gonna hafta take the entire ass end apart. I can tell it's getting way too much air.

Here's a video of what it sounds like, and where it stops. When looking thru access holes behind brick, you can barely start to see it, then it stops with a force. About to tear it apart

Got it to go in. Crud. Filed down the edge of plate like a knife, and tapped with hammer. Now she closes. Thanks to all. Had to reply that I fixed. No one ever does....
