Manchester operating temps

The Manchester owners manual states "The Manchester 8362 typically operates in the 800 ⁰F to 1300 ⁰F range".
Seems kind of high to me, does that range sound right?
I thought temps over 1000 F would be in the over-firing range...
 
I think they are referring to the Catalyst / Catalyst Thermometer Temps in that section:

That is the catalyst temperature. The stovetop should stay under 800º.
