Looks like Norway maple, soft maple but it splits nice, dries relatively fast and burns great. When I burn, I honestly can not tell the difference between any maple species due to burn rate, maple to me burns hot, lasts a little less then oak and is a nice compliment to my wood stash
First pic is hard maple(note the brown of the bark on cut end). Second is Soft Maple(note the redness of the bark on the cut end). Third looks to be Hard, Fourth is Soft maple.
