I just bought a mobile home that has a Martin fireplace in it with a gas insert. My question is can I burn wood in it if I put the gas insert out and get the gas hole plugged.

Has a dampener and Chimney

I think this is a gas fireplace, not for wood burning. It would need to be entirely replaced if that is so.
