The Masonry Heater Association will be building at the World of Concrete, Feb 2-4, in Las Vegas. They will be building a pizza oven and a cross-section of a masonry heater. There is usually 5 to 10 official folks. People are allowed to get in and help if they choose.
I think they are going to build half the masonry heater out of something clear so people can see how it works. That is you can watch the exhaust/smoke flowing through one of the channels. If you are interested in attending just call the mha-net.org (520) 883-0191 and you can get a free pass (that's what I did a few years ago).
