Hello,

I have a sweet pot bellied meridian ceramic stove that came to me with a few tiles needing to be cemented back on. Since owning the stove more tiles have fallen off and there are now a couple good sized deeper chunks of grout/cement missing around the brass door. I tried to use a high temp grout/cement and it didn't last a year before crumbling again. I know that the door gets very hot and this leads to expansion - I'm wondering if anyone has had better luck finding a cement or grout to both fill the hole and to replace the tiles with. I also know that I may just have to re-grout yearly- just hoping not to have to! Thank you!

What cement product was used for past repair?

IIRC, Meridian recommended a CFC cement. Hearthstone makes a ceramic fiber cement that may work. It can be ordered online from Woodman's and others.
