Whats a good moisture reading for firewood? I do instrumentation by trade so I could't resist buying a moisture meter. I'm getting readings as low as 11% on 2 yr old walnut, to 39% on fresh cut,(dead tree) maple. Wondering what's the max moisture reading for wood that I should burn?

With the meter, you could do some experiments and you will find that below 20% is good. Anything above that is a problem and too dry burns too fast.
