5 hour job, bucked fallen pin oak, and split, filled 2 long bed pickups and large trailer. My arse is wooped. Going to unload trucks and trailer tomorrow.

I'm sure that 372XP made the job fun, didn't it? Sounds like some great BTU's, I'm caged up in his damm living room remodel and I've got TONS of trees lined up to cut, I wanna go play with my saws!! Mom says NO WAY!!

Only thing I fail to understand is why are you cutting those rounds with a saw when you have a perfectly good splitter that was built to handle that task.

Scotty- the new to me saw ran like a champ, especially after it warmed up!

Backwoods- good point, but when a man has a new saw, hes got to use it, couldn't help myself, but I did go vertical too. Many unseen rounds not in the photo.

PapaD- very close guess on amount, two 8' truck beds filled and a trailer yielded hopefully that, but maybe closer to 2 cords. Still have more to pickup.

Bogydave- I don't know if you even have oak, but when its cut and split, kinda has a dirty diaper smell, imho. Splitter and saw smells make up for it! Will post pics tomorrow.

No oak here. (No dirty diapers either)
Would put up with it for the high BTUs , away from the house a ways though
I make compost with salmon scraps, smell worse than diapers, but only when I mix it. But the results are worth it.

I finished splitting it this morning. Just need to stack it. It split ok, some alittle gnarly. Having the wedge on the cylinder allows the round to turn with the grain, although stringy. If one were to use a 4 way wedge, this kind of wood will have the potential to bends the cylinder. If using a maul, would be a bear to split.

Most likely because they were too big/heavy to move. I split some of that stuff last fall with my dad and 24" oak rounds were a little tough to move. However, we got them to the splitter and the splitter did its job.

Edit to add: just read it was to try out the new saw. I can relate to that.

Finished stacking, alittle shy of 3 cords in the rack. But finished 2014/15. 2015/16 just started, so 3 winters ahead when finished, then I'll break from it. Been helping a friend get ahead too. Pics below are 6 cords total, with another cord hidden.

Nice, I can see where you stacked the newer stuff, in a couple years it will all be gray and seasoned.

These stacks are 16 ft long, 6 ft wide with 4" gap in between rows and 5 1/2 high. There are 2 racks, plus another 4x4x5 area between a tree and a huge boulder with pine. My woodshed holds 2.5 cords plus what goes on the deck for this year. Tiring work, but I enjoy it the same. Be well

It is most difficult to find an pin oak without all those knots and twists.....

I think the last pin oak we cut here was about 28" and somehow I managed to get all of them on the trailer by myself and also when it came time for splitting, I still worked alone. Cant hook comes in mighty handy though.
