No kidding. And my wife is from NC. I never hear the end of it.

The first yr I was here, it was May before the snow was totally out of the woods.

Ive lived in 6 states..many of them in the South. I'll move back. Unfortunately i know what I'm missing. My family is keeping me in a holding pattern.

Lived first 30 years of my life in WNY...moved to Western Virginia, then to Western NC for work.
I don't miss the snow but do miss the people...and a beef of weck along with Weber's mustard on a Salen's hot dog.

Houghton County in Upper Michigan gets at least twice that much, and we've seen well over 300 inches several times.

We have lots of ice dams. Even insulated double roofs get them

Curious what kind of accumulation you get from that snowfall usually?

True, but in the 60 years that I have lived here, you can count the tornadoes in our area and still have fingers left.
