In The Woods
After opening up the trail I went to check the upper part of the trail, found more (I think it's Sugar Maple) down.

looks like you'll be burning lots and lots of primo stuff down the road. That sugar maple is about as good as oak, in my book.....

Yes, the wife will like the higher btu firewood along with the longer burn cycle. I would rather have the Sugar Maple.
 
More primo wood.
Bet you hate to se the sugar maples go though.

Before I joined this site I bought a 25lb bag of sugar maple chunks online from Vermont for use with my meat smoker.

If I need more someday I can just buy it from Hearth.com members! Hehe

Yes we do, the only time I'm in that area is for a ride or picking leeks, I do have a guy coming to see if it's worth his while to tap the Maples we have, I talked to him about one hour before the storm hit.
