When my Mt Vernon AE stoves ( I have 2 of them) restart they show a wakeup screen that says the software Rev is 5.00 and the build is 4.
It surprises me that they are both on the same version because they were purchased 5 years apart from each other. Also, I have seen quadrafire troubleshooting manual (date 4-24-08) that appear to state that the latest the firmware version is 7.5 - which in no way aligns with the display.
Would anyone happen to know if that is the latest software available? Perhaps does the wakeup screen show software version of the thermostat instead of the control board?
