My thermocouple ceramic cover in the firepot came loose today. Second heating season in use - cover was always tight. Never noticed how it was held tight. Is it under the hold-down beside the pot? It won't slide under that hold down. Should I loosed the nut? Just have it sitting there loose and stove seems to be working normally. Did search and found nothing. Appreciate any advice.

Hi Jim, yea the ceramic cover goes underneath that bracket , you will have to loosen the screw. When you slide the cover over the thermocoupler, make sure the end of the thermocoupler is touching the inside edge of the cover at the tip. helps if you push it and hold it together while someone else tightens the screw. Hope you get it working, gonna be cold this week.

Thanks, tsmith ... I will loosen the nut and slide the cover under making sure the end of the thermocouple touches cover. I appreciate it!
