Spring can't get here fast enough...need to get the grass growing to cover up all this mud...and dry things out a bit. We've been stuck at 15* below normal and some for of precip every other day. Its a swamp. The yard is a mess...trails are a mess....dog is a mess. I got the ATV stuck twice today hauling half the load I usually do...

I guess this is making up for last years drought when the dirt was powder dry down 4' (drilled a bunch of post holes and never hit damp soil! So dry they couldn't be tamped in tight.)

Here's hoping for a normal spring and summer.

I still have a foot of snow in my yard. It's a nice warm 30* today though, so I guess it's slowly melting. It's too bad it's not just winter than summer. The mud/slush, aroma of thawing dog poo and all that is no fun!

Still quite a bit of snow here too . Cold March. Couple of more inches of snow predicted for Monday. So ready for spring.

We still have frost in the ground! I've been skidding logs out of the woods daily. I keep expecting it to thaw, then there will be some mud.

Mud season is what we call winter here. Freeze, thaw. Freeze, thaw. Rain, rain, rain.

Drive way is a mess... truck ruts, frozen, thawed, frozen thawed.

The daffodils are popping up, how ever ;)

+1 on daffodils....although they are now covered in 4"snow. +1 mud everywhere. We had to put stepping stones to the wood shed cause its so bad. Snow, melt, heavy rain, then snow mess mess mess

Got sick of mud season, so we had our driveway hot toped. Al the walks have pavers so I try to stay off the lawn until it firms up. The dog play in the driveway so we have the mud season in fair control. It will be all. Over in a couple of weeks.

We have about 1.5 inches of snow over ice, better have ice cleats on.

Big yard, half mud, half snow just warm enough to melt. Add 6 and 8 year old grandsons and a 10 month old Lab pup. The worst you can imagine is correct, no need for pictures!

Could be if not for the sun being higher with much more daylight. It would be gone in a week, but now hearing about another weekend storm? So glad I don't have to go out if I don't want to.
