At least it isn't trying the absorbing qualities of pellets.:)

That dog is saying, "I sure wish I had a hot stove to sleep next to. Maybe if I sleep on the bag I'll warm up."

I've nicknamed my 3 dogs Hoover, Bissell, and Dyson. They love eating the pellets off the ground.
 
The big question....did you wake him up so you could put the bag in?

Good to hear that it's not just my dogs. One of mine loves watching the ash/embers fly through the window
 
Our little dog we've been fostering has been barking when the fire goes out!! Once lit again, all is well. :)
