Feels like that! I can actually split a 12" round one-handed without all the acrobatics of using the 8 lb. maul. And I don't hurt afterwards.
That is something to be excited about!

Correct. Opted for the shorter length, and that was a good idea. It hits where I want it to and gives me plenty of control.
