Bought a mill on Sunday, wasn't planning on buying one now. Price was right and it was close by.
Clarke made in Canada 1999 from the second owner 400 mile round trip to get it.
My rollback is awesome for these trips and bringing things home. No worries once it's tied down on the deck.Would have been a slow trip on it's own tires.

Since I'm an arborist and, also have an interest in woodworking, I've wanted a mill for a handful of years.
Nice score!!! Keep us updated with progress.
Tagged to follow along brother.

After the final inspection $13500.00 Canadian peso's
New Norwood push mils are around $11000.00, my brother went partners on one a few years ago
I got a tooth setter, a homemade sharpener and a handful of blades, bearings ect with it.
Looking forward to getting some stuff milled. I want to build some dry cabins for property out of town to rent out like Air B+B income.
Plus decking for my lowbeds, that will probably be my first milling.

I have been wanting one for years too
A friend loaned me his Lucas mill when i was building my house.
I used it to remill a bunch of old Fir bridge timbers i had for flooring for my house.

Looking forward to spring and having a pile of logs in the yard.
Bidding on a wood supply with my neighbor, 330 cords of campground wood.
My part will be 150 cords. We were going to sort out milling logs from what we harvest.

I looked at the website. Might have been made in Lindsay Ont. I worked in Peterborough for many years. Have fun - I will be watching all the action.

From what i saw they have 3 sizes
Mine is closest to their mid size one, a few different touches from the 1999 model
I feel like i got a good buy on it, glad i had money set aside for a Hot Rod.

There are some cool utube video's of guys slicing off big wide boards from hardwood and then wetting with water to show the grain.

I wish we had more tree variety around here...
Spruce and Aspen is it

How big a diameter will you be able to run through. I guess you will operate it while standing beside it? It must use a big wide bands saw blade?

I haven't measured it yet but i think around 28"
There is a seat that you can ride on with the saw as it goes back and forth. The blades aren't super wide.
The aspen can get some beautiful colors here, but as a hardwood it is super soft.
I plan on cutting the decking from aspen as it doesn't splinter like spruce, ice lugs do a number on decking.

And my hotrod sits in the shed...
It's pretty meh driving near the speed limit, not going in the snow, doesn't carry dirty bikes or garbage, no A/C...
Sometimes I wish it was a similar year 4x4 beater that I could use...
But it has sentimental value.

I could supply you with one, have a couple.
One 67 all original right to the 17" split rim tires 3/4 ton 4x4 orange
And a 71 3/4 ton 4x4 that i have had since high school,it was used as our mining truck for years, all original too. light green with a lime green roof.
I have your truck as well, it's in a few different pieces

True, but I'll take the hotrod. It's forever in my veins.
One day...
would love to get a 67 Chevelle, but will settle for something with a huge engine and cool factor

Going to need a sweet work truck thread to get some pics of those!
Green on green is so classic, friend had a 77 Ford with that, timeless!
