These things are great in my stove. Dark pellets, none too long, low fines in the bag. Ash is typical in volume and dark in color. They burn hot as hell. Wasn't too sure since the label just says "Wood" but for $5.18 per bag, I'm not complaining. The bag says Premier Pellet, Montreal Canada, product of U.S.A.There corporate structure is confusing but they are a part of Energex.I compared them with the Chows and they are the same pellet.

I grabbed a couple bags to try yesterday. The pellets are extremely short even compared to what i thought were short pellets i have. Most are 1/4" or less pieces.

The threads title, natures own

Lowes in New Paltz, NY had these Natures Own pellets yesterday for $199 a ton. There was an open bag that was pure sawdust due to being wet at some point. Not sure I am into buying wet damaged pellets and then having to bring them back to Lowes. I have enough pellets for now. I still have two tons left. Just got a #2 fuel oil delivery this week for $1.509 a gallon.

Random thoughts:
If I buy pellets at Lowes or HD now to be burned next year, there is a chance some of these bags will be damaged by sitting outside in the weather. Anything I buy now I will have to plan on burning this year. Its going to be below zero tonight.
