Nc30 installed but weak blower

Overall install went smooth except the block off plate. It's alittle rough but gets the job done I suppose. Liner does force the top plate/rain cap up more than I like but it is holding for now. Nc-30 I think looks great ! Doesn't stick out as far as I would like. Also the ac-30 blower is complete garbage only throwing air to the front of the door. Really expected it to launch done air like my old insert did. I hope it keeps up but I wanted the air to be pushed far out because of 25 ft cathedral ceilings. Would have liked the air to reach under my loft into rest of the house. I may call and try a replacement blower . I just can't believe how weak the amount of air is

Call them up and talk to them about what you are experiencing. There might be a problem with the blower as I haven't heard that complaint.

Thankyou yea I plan to call em tomm morning. But somehow I ended up with 8" clearance on left side and 6" clearance on the right ha! But I think the looked turned out nice and the fiancé approves . The clearance actually allows me to reach the 4 bolts holding the blower. It will be a pain but I'm pretty sure I can swap out the blower without removing the stove

That looks much better. I think the 30NC come stock with the AC 16 blower. You may want the larger AC 30 blower.

I have the ac-30 installed now and it is pathetic at 3000 rpm it is equal to my insert blower I really think something is wrong with it

Ac-16 should arrive tomm going to let fire die out in her and try and squeeze back there to mount it. If it throws more than something is for sure wrong. How far should an ac-16 air supply be felt standing in front of stove

Was able to double check and blower is at full speed it is not all that loud should it be a noticable blower noise at full speed? Sounds like my old on on low

Install went ok block off plate alittle rough we removed couple of bricks which threw us a curve ball but everything else went smooth. I did not get to do a first burn outside now the house has a nice haze to it can someone confirm this is normal and no danger? Was watching tv and that damn looks cloudy in here sure enough turn on the lights and whole house had a slight smoke in it. Definetly smells like curing but did expect to get this much haze off of it

Yup, gets pretty smokey. The first couple fires are the worst, the smell will continue to a much lessor degree for a few days until it is gone though, especially if you hit a new high on the external stove temp.

Good deal then was going to say I know it wasn't wood smoke because the smaller fire showed no signs of leaking or any other issues but soon as that temp started climbing it was a smokin... Bad blower is killing me got a great bed of coals and full load house sitting at 65/66 degrees.....

One thing to check when the AC 30 blower is out is to make sure the squirrel cage fan set screw is tight to the motor shaft. If not, the motor may be free-wheeling.

Got any small fans that you could put on the sides to blow a lil cool air into the FP? (just temporary, til ya figure this out) Works great on mine! Mine heats well without any fan, but, with two small 120v computer fans blowing under the stove, temp in the house climbs rapidly!

I really need some good force to throw heat out I have an open floor plan with the high ceilings I can literally feel heat just pouring above my head right in front of it

Yea just one and to small for ceiling height eventually upgrading to a larger one or two medium ones

Don't want to hijack this thread, but I purchased an NC-30. The AC-16 was missing. They shipped one out. My question is... do you have to drill a hole out of he center of the larger panel on the back of the stove in order to make the AC-16 work or is it supposed to be knocked out already? The plate on the back of my stove has no holes. Looks like it would only fit the AC-30. Can you remember what your stove looked like when you received it before adding any blowers? Thanks.

The hole should already be knocked out and a weird diverter thing on the inside to shoot the air upwards between the shield and the stoveback. The welded on rear shield has a big rectangular knockout that must fit the AC30 and then bolted to the heatshield is a rectangular plate with a hole for the AC16. That's how mine came.

Mine was 29" but I chopped the legs down so that the rear airbox was 1/4 inch off the brick hearth
