need a new blower but I don't know what 2 buy

I have an old Englander pellet stove it's a 25 pdvc but I don't know the year. Our blower doesn't blow as hard as it used to. It's blowing on 9 but it's acting like it's on a way lower setting.

Can someone help me figure out what to buy and the cheapest place to buy it?

Ps the blower seems to push more heat on a lower setting. When it's above 4 or 5 it doesn't even sound different

Have you taken the blower out and cleaned it? You would be surprised the amount of dust and pet hair that gets in it.

If you open the hopper does it a plate inside with info on it? Should have a MFG date listed with month and year if it is there. Mine is an 06 and the plate is on the left side. I recently cleaned my convection fan and it helped some.

Yes it does but I can not for the life of me make out the year. It's faded or rubbed off in places.

The year is stamped in just under the serial number on mine which is stamped in also. If you can find the serial number you might be able to call tech support and maybe they can tell the year from that or you could try placing a paper over the numbers and lightly rub with a pencil to get the numbers??

Tried the pencil and paper trick like you suggested and that did the trick! It's a 2000. I could visually see it was either a 0, 6 or 8 but the pencil rub did the trick!

I haven't taken it apart to clean it. I should try that first. But if that doesn't help, anyone know where I can get a replacement blower cheap?

Wait I thought I would need another gasket if I took the blower apart to clean it?

This may be the one for your stove.

For the convection blower you do not need a new gasket.

It is much easier to the blower out if you remove the control board first.

I would clean it and it may solve your problem There is a vid on youtube and a collection of videos on the Englander site. This fan is notorious for getting dust and/or pet hair caught up in it and it can really cut down on air flow. Get a scrubber and a good vacuum and it doesn't take long. Unless there is another issue with it like making some weird noise it might save some money.

+1 on the crazy amount of dirt those things collect.
if you have an air compressor, take out the blower, bring it outside and let er rip. Way more fun way to clean it than scrubbing
