After lifting the Summit insert a couple inches off the hearth floor, I will have about an 8 inch gap between the insert and the existing stainless appliance connector from my chimney liner.
I know I can go to the top of the liner and use a couple to add some length but I also have a piece of single wall black pipe that would fit fine as well. Is there any significant galvanic action between the single wall and the stainless that should dissuade me from that easier option?
